Easy Paneer butter masala

An easy to make recipe for Paneer Butter Masala. Paneer dishes are among the favourite vegetarian dishes for non-vegetarians. This is an easy Paneer Butter Masala we make at home.


Ingredients:

Paneer cubes

Butter

Oil

Tomato

Kashmiri Chilli Powder

Turmeric Powder

Fennel Powder

Cumin/Cumin Powder

Bay leaf

Cardamom

Cashew nuts


Preparation


Heat a pan in medium flame and add 2 tbsp butter at room temperature. Add 1 tbsp oil, 1 sliced onion,5 sliced garlic cloves,1 tsp ginger paste, and salt as required. Saute well and then add 8 cashew nuts,2 medium-sized tomatoes. Close the pan with a lid till the tomatoes get cooked. Turn the flame off and allow it to cool. Grind in a mixer. To the same pan, add 2 tbsp butter, 3 cardamom pods,1 bay leaf,1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder, a pinch of cumin seed powder,1/3 tsp fennel powder. Let the masala get fried well. To this add the earlier ground paste. Add 3/4 cup water, 1 tsp sugar and salt to taste. Add 2-3 tbsp curd or fresh cream. Fresh cream is a better option. Close lid and cook for two min. Add paneer cubes. Close lid and cook for another 10 min. Add Kasuri methi, 1.4 tsp fennel powder. Cook for one more minute.

Paneer butter masala is ready to serve!!
