Mango pickle in 10 minutes | Clay Pan |
This is an effortless way to make mango pickle recipe. This time when I came home, there were a lot of mangoes. This is one of the tasty things that mom made from the mangoes we had. Trust me, it’s super easy! We call it manga achaar (meaning mango pickle in Malayalam)
Ingredients:
Raw mangoes -2
Chilli powder-3 tsp
Salt- to taste
Asafoetida powder-1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds-2 tsp
Fenugreek-2 tsp
Gingelly oil-1 tbsp
Curry leaves-2 sprigs
Preparation:
Cut the raw mangoes into small pieces. To this, add 1/4 tsp asafoetida powder and adequate salt and mix well. Refrigerate overnight.
Heat a clay pan and add oil. When oil gets heated, add1 tsp asafoetida powder,2 tsp mustard seeds, 3 tsp chilli powder. Mix well and once chilli powder turns dark brown, turn off the stove and add curry leaves. It still boils as it is a clay pan. Add mangoes and salt to taste and mix well. When it gets cooled, transfer it to a clean dry glass jar or a ceramic jar and close it with a tight lid.
Try it out!!!
