Soya Chunk Cutlet | Pure Veg |
Soya Chunk Cutlet is easy to prepare. And will not get the feeling like it is soya chunks. Soya Chunk Cutlet is tastier than cutlets we get in a bakery.
Ingredients:
Soya Chunks - 1 cup
Mashed potatoes - 2
Onion - 1 small
Garlic - 8 pods
Green chilli - 1 small
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Oregano - as required
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp and a bit more
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Fennel powder - 1/2 tsp
Bread Crumbs
Preparation:
Soak one cup soya chunks in boiled water for 30 minutes. Drain water and then squeeze out water from soya chunks - careful, this will be hot. Grind the soya chunks in a mixer. Boil 2 potatoes, peel off the skin and mash them. Chop one small onion, eight pods garlic and a small green chilli into small pieces. Heat a container and add oil, chopped garlic, followed by one teaspoon ginger paste. Saute intermittently between each set of ingredients. Add the chopped onion and green chilli. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp fennel powder. Add the soya chunks into this and saute well. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the mashed potatoes and Oregano. Mix well with hand. Roll into a ball and flatten into the shape of a cutlet.
In another small bowl take 1 tbsp of maida and 1 tbsp cornflour and add little water to make a 'not thick not loose' mixture. Dip the cutlet in the mix above, roll it in the bread crumb. Cutlets are ready to be fried. Keep the excess in the freezer and take out as per requirement.
Fry in medium flame. Serve hot!
